Dr. Lamis Latif - CEO

Dr. Lamis Latif is the CEO, Medical Director and a practicing Family Physician at Genius Medical in Kelowna. She relocated from the UK to British Columbia in 2022, bringing over a decade of experience in clinical care, urgent care, and leadership within the NHS. Dr. Latif has also contributed as a medical expert for BBC, ITV, and Channel 5 News, and was selected for the prestigious NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme.

In addition to her leadership at Genius Medical, Dr. Latif serves as a UBC preceptor, delivering lectures and mentoring residents, and as a Lead with the Divisions of Family Practice BC. Her work centres on building sustainable, patient-centred healthcare models that support both physicians and the communities they serve.

Dr. Lamis Latif combines clinical excellence with leadership, teaching, and innovation, drawing on her extensive international experience to advance patient care and physician well-being. She is dedicated to building collaborative, patient-centred environments where high-quality medicine, modern healthcare tools, and a culture of support empower both patients and healthcare providers alike. Outside of medicine, Dr. Latif enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Kelowna through hiking and cycling and is an avid squash player and proud member of Squash BC.

Dr. Brandon McIntosh - Family Physician

Dr Brandon McIntosh is a dedicated family physician based in Kelowna, BC, with a special interest in longitudinal care, chronic disease management, and HIV prevention. He recently completed his medical training in Calgary, bringing a compassionate, evidence-based approach to primary care and a strong commitment to building lasting relationships with patients throughout all stages of life.

Before pursuing medicine, Dr. McIntosh trained and worked as a cardiac operating room nurse, having completed his nursing education in Edmonton. His background in both nursing and medicine gives him a well-rounded, patient-centered perspective. He also holds an academic background in astrophysics, reflecting his deep curiosity and analytical thinking—qualities that continue to shape his clinical approach.

Outside of work, Dr. McIntosh enjoys the vibrant outdoor lifestyle of Kelowna. Whether skiing in the winter, boating in the summer, or exploring the backcountry on an ATV, he finds joy and balance in the natural beauty of the Okanagan Valley.

Tekoa - Medical Office Assistant (MOA)

Tekoa is our Medical Office Assistant and often the first welcoming face patients see when they arrive at the clinic. With her calm presence, positive energy, and professional approach, she helps create a supportive and friendly environment for both patients and staff.

She brings experience working with children, youth, and seniors in previous roles, and enjoys connecting with people and staying organized, qualities that serve her well in a busy clinical setting. Tekoa recently completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at UBC Okanagan and plans to pursue a Master’s in Health Administration.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors like camping in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, and being with family and friends. She also has a passion for travel and photography.
